The movie industry is BOOMING in the Southeastern region of the United States. In Atlanta alone, you can take a traffic stopping cruise through the city for probably an hour and I promise you, you will see at least 3 movies, or tv shows being filmed on the streets. Many don’t know, but most marvel films have been shot in Atlanta or Georgia at some point. I’m pretty sure the new Captain America, Anthony Mackie knows this for sure. Recently Nola.com reported that the Marvel actor has purchased 20 acres of land in his hometown of New Orleans to open a sound studio.
Records confirmed Anthony Mackie signed the deal on Friday, March 11. It is stated that the land will become the site for the actor’s production company, East Studios LLC.
“The actor, 43, who trained initially at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, said through his agent that it was premature to discuss specifics.” Nola.com stated. “Several people involved in the months-long negotiation for the land said Mackie intends to site his new production company, East Studios LLC, at the Read Boulevard tract and is looking to buy more space nearby.”
