After taking some time for his mental health, G.O.O.D. Music alumni, Big Sean shows that he has more in store. After releasing new music, Big Sean takes his chances with the NBA, but not on the court. Recently the Detroit native and the Detroit Pistons announced that the six time Grammy nominee is the Pistons’ newly minted creative director of innovation.
Within this role, Sean will help guide the team’s cultural aesthetics on and off the court which will include merchandise designs and in-game experience to community involvement.
“It was really something I threw out in the universe one day,” Sean states to The Undefeated. “I mentioned it, like, man, ‘They need to give me a job!’ Talking about the Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers or Lions. I’m a huge Detroit fan. I’m ride or die with it … I’ve always said that, but especially with the Pistons. It’s crazy that it happened like this. I’m just truly grateful.”
Sean has stated the position as the 20-21 season has began.
