2 Chainz, “Feed Your City Challenge” hand out free groceries to Atlanta families

Atlanta is one city that when people are in need, many of the celebrity entertainers that resided here come to the rescue more than the media gives them credit for. 2 Chainz with a list of other music industry moguls helped to lift the local families that have been affected by the pandemic as they made their eighth stop on the national “Feed Your City Challenge“.

Started by retired NBA player Ricky Davis and music executive Tony Draper, the “Feed Your City Challenge” focuses on giving back to underserved communities. At the Atlanta event, fresh groceries and personal protective equipment was provided for up to 4,500 people.

“There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world, but it’s important for people like myself who have a platform to be on ground zero giving back,” 2 Chainz tells WSB-TV, “It’s a hard time for the whole world, not just the city of Atlanta. But I’m just using my platform to lead by example.”

Atlanta artist 6lack, Quality Control Music Group and Jhene Aiko’s Social Justice Collective also donated to provide supplies for the Atlanta event.
