After Forbes named him as Hip-Hop’s 1st billionaire, Jay-Z continues to grow his empire. With a list that includes music, art, real estate, sports, alcohol and more, Jay-Z looks to add cannabis to his fortune as he becomes cannabis company, Caliva, chief brand strategist.

Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level,” Carter said in a statement on Tuesday when the partnership was announced. “With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos makes them the best partner for this endeavor.

Adding his name to the list of celebrities in the cannabis world that includes Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Willie Nelson and more, looks to not just grow in the industry, but also correct some of the social injustice from the cannabis industry.

One of his main focuses as chief brand strategist is to focus on social justice and creating an outreach program that holds job training, advocacy and workforce development for people who were negatively affected by the war of drugs.
