ATL Rapper Metro Mars Who Threw Money At His Graduation Starts New Foundation

A few weeks ago it made headline news as QC rapper Metro Mars threw 10,000 dollars at his high school graduation at Langston Hughes High School in Metro Atlanta. Now that same artist is making the news again. This time for finding a new way to spread the wealth with graduates by starting a foundation called the Loner Foundation.

“We are going to be giving out like a scholarship called the 10K rainy day fund scholarship, it’s basically we’re going to give $10,000 to the valedictorian and salutatorian. Each class,” Mars tells Fox 5 News.

“With the national pandemic a lot of people have been impacted financially, and school is not free,” Councilwoman Helen Willis says. “So I commend him for wanting to get back in that way.”
