Happy Juneteenth! On June 19th 1865 all slaves in America officially became free. Juneteenth became a state holiday in Texas in 1980, and a number of other states subsequently began to follow suit. The celebration of the Juneteenth has even extended to other countries in celebration of the growth of African Americans. Now in 2020 and all of the craziness that has made this year a that will be spoken about in history books. You find that even more in America are coming to understand the history of black people in America as well as the injustices that continues to live here. If it’s any holiday that everyone should celebrate right now it is definitely today.

As many African American’s may be rocking all the red, green and black clothing they can possible wear today, I feel to make it truly a party you have to have to right alcohol to get this celebration off right! D’USSÉ

Naturally aged for at least four and a half years, the bold and full-bodied blend of D’USSÉ VSOP Cognac is made from a selection of the finest eaux-de-vie, including some that were carefully matured in the cellars of the Château de Cognac. Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is inspired by the best whiskey-maker the world never knew, the first known African-American master distiller, Nathan “Nearest” Green. The Uncle Nearest brand, wholly owned by Uncle Nearest, Inc., an all minority-led business, encompasses a premium aged whiskey with a blend of 8- to 14- year old, an 11-year-old minimum age single barrel, and a 7-year-old small batch offering, all mellowed using the Lincoln County Process, a unique filtering of bourbon through sugar maple charcoal. This process has been confirmed to have been brought to Tennessee by enslaved people and taught by Nearest Green to the most famous Tennessee Whiskey maker of all time. Uncle Nearest is distilled, aged, bottled and hand-labeled in Tennessee.

Guidance Whiskey

Inspired by whiskey Culture and motivated by a deep concept of family and friendship, Jason Ridgel founded Guidance Whiskey in October of 2018. For Ridgel and his team, the word ‘Guidance’ just made sense. It represents all those that came before and those that helped along the way. Guidance can also represent a journey or direction.
