Happy Juneteenth! On June 19th 1865 all slaves in America officially became free. Juneteenth became a state holiday in Texas in 1980, and a number of other states subsequently began to follow suit. The celebration of the Juneteenth has even extended to other countries in celebration of the growth of African Americans. Now in 2020 and all of the craziness that has made this year a that will be spoken about in history books. You find that even more in America are coming to understand the history of black people in America as well as the injustices that continues to live here. If it’s any holiday that everyone should celebrate right now it is definitely today.
As many African American’s may be rocking all the red, green and black clothing they can possible wear today, I feel to make it truly a party you have to have to right alcohol to get this celebration off right! In America, even though we can always own more, I think it is amazing that we can actually continue to support BLACK OWNED BUSINESS all while celebrating today! Below is a few black owned liquor companies that will work perfectly either straight on the rocks, or blended with your favorite drinks. So POUR UP and HAPPY JUNETEENTH!!!!
